Sunday’s final round of The Northern Trust Open at Glen Oaks Club in Old Westbury, New York had an exciting finish thanks to a two of golfs best going toe to toe. In the end, it was Dustin Johnson who beat Jordan Spieth. Both Johnson and Spieth finished -13 on the weekend. Johnson shot -4 in the final round and was able to pull out the exciting victory.
Johnson sat 3 strokes back of the leader Spieth going into Sunday but was able to shoot -4 in the last round of the tournament. Johnson was able to play his final round without having a single bogey, and finish the tournament strong.
In the playoff hole, Johnson hit a monster drive, and beautiful second shot which set him up for a solid birdie chance. DJ was able to make his birdie putt and put Spieth in a tough situation after he had a rough second shot.
It was a fantastic finish between arguably the two best golfers right now.
